Twinbird was established in 1951 as a manufacturer of plating products, and expanded into the field of electrical appliances during the 1980s. They have continued to develop products according to the philosophy on which we were founded," Bringing joy and comfort into the lives of our customers." They have developed the FPSC (Free Piston Stirling Cooler), a cooling system with minimal environmental impact. Its non-CFC operation is easy on the ecosystem, and uses very low energy consumption. Twinbird Corporation is in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture that is positioned at almost the center of Japan. Twinbird is engaged in the business projects of manufacturing and distribution of smaller consumer electronic commodities such as electric cleaners and audio-visual products. The business areas of Twinbird are configured roughly from the following seven sections; "Vacuum cleaners", "Audio-visual appliances", "Lighting apparatus", "Kitchen electric appliances", "Life consumer electronics", "Hear-dressing & beauty appliances", and "FPSC". Specialists from each section of Twinbird are gathered under a certain theme exchanging their opinions freely, and such flexible connection energies our company to produce quite new and unique Twinbird products. Twinbird started the development of FPSC (Free Piston Stirling Cooler) in 1998, and the mass-production technology of the system was successfully established in 2002. FPSC is the environmentally friendly and high energy efficient Freon-free freezer, which enables finely controlled temperature adjustment operation using small amount of natural Helium gas. This has no environmental impact to human body and global environment. They are steadily expanding the product lineup and the application field from Recreational & Leisure to Low Temperature Transportation, and Biotechnology & Medical.
