Product Line
Three formats, one extraction method
Every Morinaga kit in this line shares a common proprietary extraction solution, so results are comparable whether you're running a full quantitative panel in the lab or a two-minute check on the production floor. Pick the format that matches where the test needs to happen.
Food Allergen ELISA Kit Ⅱ
Quantitative · Sandwich ELISA · 96 tests/kit
A sandwich enzyme immunoassay for measuring exact allergen protein levels in raw and processed foods. The extraction solution solubilizes target protein even after it's been altered by heating, pressurizing, or sterilizing — a common failure point for other allergen assays.
Used for
Regulatory labeling compliance, product-release testing, and quantitative confirmation of allergen thresholds in finished goods.
Egg · Milk · Wheat/Gluten · Peanut · Buckwheat · Soy   View kits ▸

Rapid Test Pro Ⅱ
Qualitative · Lateral flow · On-site
A lateral-flow strip test that uses the same extraction solution as the ELISA Kit Ⅱ, so a positive or negative result tracks with what the full lab assay would show. No plate reader or incubator required — results in minutes.
Used for
Line-clearance checks between allergen changeovers, incoming ingredient screening, and rapid confirmation ahead of a full ELISA run.

Rapid Test Easy
Qualitative · Lateral flow · Environmental
The simplest format in the line — a single-step lateral-flow test built specifically for environmental samples. It won't test food materials directly, but it's the fastest way to check a swab or rinse-water sample for allergen carryover.
Used for
Cross-contact monitoring on equipment and surfaces after cleaning, and rinse-water verification between allergen-containing production runs.
Environmental samples only   View kits ▸

Instant Swab Total Protein
General sanitation · Swab test · No equipment
Not allergen-specific — this kit flags any residual protein left behind after cleaning. Swab the surface, soak the swab in the ready-to-use reagent, and read the colour change. No special equipment or reagent prep needed.
Used for
Day-to-day monitoring of cleaning effectiveness on cookware, utensils, and food-production lines as part of a broader sanitation program.

Applications
Where these kits get used
Morinaga's immunoassay technology traces back to insulin ELISA kits developed for diabetes research — the same extraction and detection science now underpins its food allergen line.
▸ Food Manufacturing QC
Confirming allergen-free claims on finished products and screening incoming ingredients before they enter production.
▸ Regulatory Labeling Compliance
The Wheat/Gluten (Gliadin) ELISA Kit Ⅱ is cited by the FDA as a method for determining compliance with its Gluten-Free Food Labeling Rule.
▸ Environmental & Cleaning Validation
Swab and rinse-water testing to verify allergen removal and general sanitation between production changeovers.
▸ Pharmaceutical & Diabetes Research
Morinaga's original ELISA platform — insulin assays used widely in diabetes medicine research — shares the same immunoassay foundation.

Frequently Asked
Common questions
01  Do the ELISA and Rapid Test results agree with each other?
Yes — all kits in this line use the same extraction solution and target the same allergen proteins, so a Rapid Test Pro Ⅱ result is directly comparable to what the ELISA Kit Ⅱ would report, just without a numeric value.

02  Can Rapid Test Easy test food samples directly?
No. Rapid Test Easy is built for environmental samples only — swabs and rinse water. For food materials, use Rapid Test Pro Ⅱ or the ELISA Kit Ⅱ.

03  What's the difference between Instant Swab Total Protein and the allergen kits?
Instant Swab Total Protein checks for any residual protein as a general cleaning-effectiveness indicator. It doesn't identify a specific allergen — use it alongside, not instead of, the allergen-specific kits.

04  Do you stock these kits in Canada?
Core kits are held in Canadian inventory. Less common allergen panels may be special-order — contact us for current lead times.

05  Can you support a purchase order or grant-funded order?
Yes. We process formal POs for institutional accounts and can provide documentation to support CFI and other research-funding applications.
