Blending occurs inside sterile disposable bags. Reciprocating stainless steel paddles compress bagged samples against the front door with controlled pressure. Blending usually requires less than sixty seconds, with a temperature increase of less than 1°C. Features microprocessor control, 3 preset speeds, 3 preset time settings plus continous, and safety interlock. Model 400 has variable time settings from 1 second to 99 minutes.
