Atago Portable Digital Refractometers

These refractometers combine the reproducibility of a digital benchtop model with the convenience and portability of the smaller hand-held analog units. To operate, place the sample on the prism and press the Start button. The reading will be displayed on the large LCD screen. If necessary, wipe the prism with tissue and water for the next sample.
All of the models feature Automatic Temperature Compensation (5-40°C). Calibration is done at the touch of a button. These units are ideal for on-line measurements in food and beverage manufacturing facilities or any industry where portable precision is required. The Palettes are powered by a standard 9-volt battery. PR models have accuracy ±0.1 brix and display measurement temperature. Warranty: 2 years.

*This unit (ES-421) is a digital salt-meter with a funnel-shaped sensor setion (conductivity) which measures the salt % of a sample (dilute sample of soy sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise, Worcester sauce, squeezed juice of pickles, etc). Samples need to be diluted if they are >6% Brix. Only 1.0 ml sample size required for measurement.
