Disposable, polypropylene columns are pre-packed. This includes silica-based sorbents with 40 µm, 60 µm or 275 µm pore size for normal phase, reversed phase, hydrophobic interaction and ion exchange separations. High capacity configuration of the column allows the extraction of compounds from sample solution volumes of a few hundred microlitres to several millilitres. Wide mouthed columns are used for large sample volumes.
