The Easy-Cast Minigel System from Owl Scientific is an all-in-one design which combines the casting and the running of the gel in one convenient unit. Simply place the tray in the chamber and pour. The tray fits snugly into the chamber and the gaskets prevent leakage during casting, removing the need for tape or additional accessories. Once the gel has hardened, simply load your samples and your run is ready to begin. The unit can handle two combs simultaneously to maximize your sample capacity. The gel tray is UV transmissible, so gels can be photographed on the transilluminator while still in the tray to eliminate the risk of gel breakage.
Other features that improve its operation include the electrode design and sturdier power cords to prolong the life of the unit, plus a SuperSafe® lid that eliminates the risk of accidental shock. Also available is the Buffer Puffer® system (420-850-08) which includes a buffer circulation design. The Easy-Cast Minigel System requires a power supply capable of delivering 20-150V (not included).
