Pipets are made from short lengths of precision capillary glass tubing, which are calibrated to contain a definite volume from end to end. Accurate to within 1% or less. May be used in handling dangerous material, although they are intended for general micro-chemical applications.
Capillary action will fill “microcaps”. Hold finger over the hole in the bulb and squeeze to discharge. For pipets of 20 lambda or larger, fill by capillary action and put pipet directly into a test tube containing the diluent. Shaking will wash the contents of the pipet into the diluent. The rubber bulb must be ordered separately.
