A practical and cost-effective alternative to metal fume hoods, this polypropylene fume hood is non-conductive, chemical-resistant, and corrosion-proof. The hood's translucency allows light to shine through into the work area and the door is made of clear acrylic for unimpeded visibility. For convenience and accessibility, the door may be set open at three positions from 10"" to 21"". A full-length baffle inside directs airflow across the table surface as well as from the top. The fume hood is 48"" wide, 24"" deep, and 36"" high. It is constructed of 1/4"" thick polypropylene with heavier sections where needed. A full length 1/8"" thick interior baffle directs airflow across the table surface. The stack has a 6"" outside diameter, with a damper. An exhaust system capable of drawing 500 cfm (free air) is recommended.
