Used in rotary evaporators where foaming will probably occur and be drawn into the condenser. There is an approximate 75% recovery of the solvent. Evaporator trap consists of a round body with an outer 24/40 joint at the top and an inner 24/40 joint at the bottom which extends upward inside the body and has two side openings near the closed top.
