Detect nucleic acids labelled with fluorescent dyes (e.g. ethidium bromide) with this series of single or dual intensity units at different wavelengths. Gels may be viewed under longwave UV (365 nm) for extended periods of time to avoid photonicking damage. Midrange UV (302 nm) increases the fluorescence for photodocumentation work. When experimentation calls for photo-dimmer formation, selection of the shortwave UV (254 nm) provides irradiation to the sample. Variable intensity units with high, medium and low settings are suitable for both analytical documentation and preparatory work. Back-illumination of transparent fluorescent materials is provided by high intensity UV over the full working surface of the transilluminator. A UVG filter is installed in all units to prolong the filter life by decreasing the solarization rate. Each UV transilluminator is also equipped with an adjustable UV blocking cover to shield the user from harmful UV radiation. Dimensions for all units except the M-10: 48.6 W x 33.7 D x 14.3 H cm. Dimensions for M-10: 26 W x 18 D x 11 H cm. 115 volt. Warranty: 2 years. CSA Approved.
