Photovoltaic measurement of UV-light intensity. Ideal for monitoring germicidal lamp irradiance and measuring Q.C. inspection lamps. Produces accurate and repeatable measurements for critical experiments. Blak-Ray meters are certified to be within UVP’s published standards, traceable to the National Bureau of Standards.

Use Model J-221 for long-wave intensity readings. Offers long-wave sensitivity from 300 to 400 nm with peak sensitivity at 365 nm. Intensity is in two ranges: 0-1200 µW/cm2 and 1000-6000 µW/cm2. J-221 is specified for many government applications and complies with government standards MIL-I-Std. 45662A and NSN-6635-488-5451.

Use Model J-225 to measure shortwave UV-light intensity. Offers shortwave sensitivity ranging from 220 to 280 nm with maximum sensitivity at 254 nm. Intensity is in two ranges: 0-2400µW/cm2 and 2,000-12,000 µW/cm2.

Both units feature plug-in sensors and two scales for long and high-intensity readings. A three-foot extension cord connects sensor to meter for remote readings. IR filter is included for measurement of lamps producing infrared radiation, to ensure accuracy. In addition, a reduction screen can be used to attenuate UV for very high intensity lamp measurements. Dimensions: 3 x 3 x 3"". Warranty: 1 year.
