Immersion Oil

Light-gathering power with high-power objectives is significantly increased by the use of immersion oil. Cargille oil is stable and will not dry or harden when exposed to air, allowing the examination of several specimens without the need to refresh oil. PCB free.

Type A: Low Viscosity Oil (with very low fluorescence)
Type B: High Viscosity Oil (used in biomedical microscopy)
Type NVH: High Viscosity Oil (used with inclined, horizontal and inverted instruments)
Type FF: Non Fluorescing Oil
Type DF: Low Fluorescing Oil (for fluorescence microscopy with high resolution)

Note: Type A & B are interchangeable for normal light microscopy, and are miscible with each other for intermediate viscosities.
