Durometer (Hardness Tester)

An 'A' scale for use with soft materials, such as soft vulcanized rubber, natural rubber, and synthetic rubbers such as GR-S, GR-1, Thiokol, and neoprene. This instrument will also measure hardness in softer plastics, felt, leather, and similar materials. Will exceed or meet ASTM D2240. Totally enclosed working parts. When the indentor is displaced exactly 0.100 inch, a special cam arrangement allows a scale alignment of 100. Scale is 240 circular degrees and is easy to read. Scale is well within 1 per cent of the calibration curve. Comes complete with carrying case and test block.
