Gel XL Ultra® Electrophoresis System

• Intelligent power supply connects directly to the side of the gel tank. No cords are necessary. Power supply is easily removed for thorough cleaning of the gel tank.
• Able to remove the gel system cover without having to manually disconnect the power supply.
• Photosensor detects the absence of the cover and shuts down the power to the electrodes for total safety. Digital timer with audible alarm also cuts off power when time run is over.
• Four voltage settings can be selected: 25V, 50V, 100V and 135V for various electrophoresis applications and for optimizing separation conditions.
• Last used voltage and timer settings are held in memory for repetitive runs.
• Vented cover prevents overheating when longer run time or higher voltages are needed.
• Save time by using multichannel pipettes for gel loading when running a large number of samples. Both sides of the dual format combs supplied with the system are multichannel compatible and these combs feature additional marker lanes.
• Combs have 13 teeth on one side and 26 on the other. Multiple combs can be used in the same gel, and up to 96 samples can be loaded onto a single gel.
• Gel box is transparent for visualizing samples during electrophoresis without additional gel handling.
• Gel tank and trays are molded for durability and leakproof performance.
• System includes a gel tank with safety lid, direct-connect power supply and a standard casting set. The casting set comes with 1 large tray (13 x 12 cm), 2 small gel trays (13 x 6 cm each), 4 dual format combs and a standard casting stand.
