Hot Start® DNA Polymerase

This DNA polymerase is a chemically modified, antibody-free enzyme, activated at 95°C. The enzyme remains inactive until the time, temperature and pH are optimal. During hot start, primers bind to a specific target, and polymerase activity is directed exclusively to that target. As a result, only the region of interest is amplified, increasing sensitivity and yield, while reducing non-specific background activity. Once the reaction reaches 95°C for 15 minutes, the activation step is activated and the enzyme stays activated in the reaction. Hot Start DNA Polymerase is chemically modified, therefore eliminating the possibility of biological contamination. Comes with 10X HotStart Reaction buffer and 25 mM MgCl2 solution.
