Oil Comparator

Oil Comparator is a precise compact instrument that is used in determination of oil colour, as per ASTM D1524 and ASTM D1500. Portable unit has a housing especially modified to allow qualitative examination of the oil for turbidity caused by sludge, moisture, and other undesirable material. This allows quick and accurate examination of oil in the field or laboratory. Apparatus is complete with two cells, magnifying prism attachment, colour disc with 10 glass colour standards representing ASTM oil colours 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0, a colour disc representing ASTM oil numbers 5.0, 5.5, 6.0, 6.5, 7.0, 7.5, 8.0 and carrying case.
